SHOES: Shoes are important to think about when you are wearing all white. Neutral and natural will keep it light and fresh so opt for a nude shoe if in doubt. White strap heels look great. A full white pump doesn’t work with everything so always do a try on and see if they are too ‘heavy’ for your outfit.
SHADES OF WHITE: You can mix shades but be careful that a very stark white doesn’t make an ivory item look dirty. Be mindful of how your whites work together and check your outfit in day light to see if it works.
TEXTURES: With two piece sets you can change up the textures by adding lace, embellishments, leather or even ruffles to break up the block of flat white. Textures add a playful element so experiment with one or many.
UNDERWEAR/TAN: Black or coloured underwear is a no-no, stick to tan or skin colour. If you want your bra to be seen, tastefully, wear white. Use a build up tan moisturiser so that your tan won’t rub off onto your clothes. If you really need a tan, make sure you do it a few days before.
METALLICS: Add a dash of metallic instead of colour to make the outfit look cohesive. Gold and rose gold accents will make the outfit pop without detracting from the overall look.
ACCESSORIZE: Adding some fun and funky accessories is a way to make a bold statement or inject some personality into your outfit. A unique neck piece, hat, earrings and bag or DIY elements will take your style to the next level.
NEUTRAL NUDES: If you are looking to test the all white trend for yourself try adding some nude heels or neutral accessories like a straw hat. Lace is still on trend and many dresses come with a white or nude slip sewn in, you can feel flirty without revealing too much.
