WHICH VENDOR (SELLER) ACCOUNT DO I SIGN UP FOR?
Personal Vendor – selling items you have purchased yourself, they can be new or pre-loved. Personal accounts can not sell business items.
For example: Items worn by you could include pre-loved millinery, dresses, shoes etc or items that you have bought and are in new condition with or without tags.
Business Vendor – selling items to sell to customers that you have made or stock. Business vendors can list personal items in their business account or create a separate personal account.
For example: List millinery you have made to sell as brand new or dresses, shoes, accessories etc that you stock to sell brand new. As a business you can list your personal pre-loved items.
WHAT IS MY USER NAME?
Your username will be the first part of the email you register with. For example email@example.com your user name will be ‘myemail’.
WHAT ITEMS CAN I LIST FOR SALE?
Anything that is ‘racewear appropriate’ can be listed. Millinery, clothing, accessories including shoes, gloves or bags and any other items that may be worn to the races. Formal wear, club/night wear and casual wear will not be approved for sale. Racewear Carousel reserves the right to delete any items that are not ‘racewear appropriate’. Instructions on how to list items are found on the Vendor Dashboard, which can be accessed once your account is activated by admin.
CAN I UPLOAD ITEMS FROM MY PHONE?
Yes. You can access your dashboard and upload items in the same way as you would on a desktop computer. Log in to your dashboard and add products to your account.
HOW DO I GET PAID FOR SELLING MY ITEMS?
Once an item is paid for you (the vendor) will receive a payment from Racewear Carousel’s PayPal account (minus the administration fee). You must provide this information to us through your vendor dashboard.
I DON’T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT CAN I STILL USE THE SITE TO LIST ITEMS?
Yes – Payments to vendors (the seller) are made via PayPal by default or by direct bank deposit if specified.
WHAT COUNTRIES CAN LIST THEIR ITEMS?
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD?
Racewear Carousel will notify the vendor via email. Once payment is received the item must be sent within 3 days with the tracking number sent to the buyer via email.
CAN I USE THE SAME EMAIL FOR MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT AND MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT?
No – you must use a different email for each account and sign up for each separately.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO LIST MY ITEMS?
Personal Vendor – free to list 20 items
Business Vendor – free to list 20 items
All sales incur an administration fee which is used to cover PayPal’s transaction fees. Personal vendors 8% and Business vendors 10%. NZ personal/business vendors 15%.
WHAT IS DEACTIVATION?
Your account will be deactivated if you engage in fee avoidance, illegal behaviour or misuse of the website in any way. Refer to the Terms and Conditions for more information. To promote your business please use the Business Directory and Noticeboard options available.
DO I NEED TO SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT TO BUY AN ITEM ON RACEWEAR CAROUSEL?
No – you can use the guest checkout to purchase items.
HOW CAN I CONTACT A VENDOR TO REQUEST MORE INFORMATION ABOUT A PRODUCT?
Use the email provided on the vendor’s profile.
CAN I RETURN AN ITEM AND GET A REFUND?
All sales are final. Returns are only authorised if the item is faulty or damaged (and this has not been specified by the vendor accurately) or does not arrive. Refunds are issued minus the administration fee. See our Returns and Refunds Policy for more information.
I DON’T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT CAN I STILL USE THE SITE TO PURCHASE ITEMS?
Yes – Buyers can use PayPal to purchase items or they have to option to pay by credit card when using the check out.
WHO CAN BE PART OF THE BUSINESS DIRECTORY?
Anyone, fees and charges may apply so please contact us directly to discuss an option that best suits your needs.
