Whether you’re a regular FOTF entrant or just heading to the track for a fun day out, here’s a few tips for how to prepare for your next trip to the track.

First – Research the day online and see if there are any specific dress codes ie. colour theme. If you are entering FOTF, check if pre-registration is available online and what time the competition starts etc. *Note, some race clubs don’t post this information until as late as one week before the event. If it is an event you’re particularly interested in, you can always email them or give them a call to ask.

Second – take a look at the Racecourse Entry Guidelines. You may be able to pre-purchase tickets online, saving you time and money. Check what time the gates open and ensure you’re there as early as possible if you want to get a table or sit in a specific area. There may also be some information on whether or not you are allowed to bring food and drinks into the venue (I’ve never been to a track that allows BYO alcohol but most tracks allow food and un-opened drinks into General Admission areas). I also like to save a Racecourse Map to my phone if I am unfamiliar with the venue.

Third – consider taking some our Recommended Items along with you, see below!

Try Starlettos Crystal Clear Heel Protectors – one Size fits all, for heels between 8mm and 14mm across. If they are a little too loose, I take a little glad wrap to wrap around the base of my heel.
